What Are LED Pole Lights?

LED pole lights, also called shoebox area lights, are fixtures mounted on poles to illuminate parking lots, roadways, pathways, and commercial properties. Named for their rectangular housing shape, shoebox fixtures provide Type III, IV, or V light distribution patterns engineered for specific mounting heights and spacing requirements. LIBULBS pole lights range from 75W to 300W with DLC certification, slip-fitter and arm-mount options, and up to 7-year extended warranties — the longest warranty in the LIBULBS catalog. All models feature die-cast aluminum housings rated IP65 for outdoor durability.

Key Features

  • Type III/IV/V distribution — select the right pattern for roads, lots, or areas
  • Up to 7-year warranty — extended warranty available
  • Slip-fitter and arm mount — universal pole compatibility
  • DLC listed — utility rebate eligible

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the difference between Type III, IV, and V distribution?

Type III throws light forward in a wide pattern for roadways. Type IV pushes light in one direction for wall-adjacent mounting. Type V distributes light equally in all directions for center-of-lot poles.
