Anticipatory Luminance Propagation
When one fixture detects a vehicle or pedestrian, it signals the fixtures around it over a 5.4 GHz link.
The path ahead is lit before anyone reaches it.
Conventional occupancy sensors
P2 · Drive aisle BEach fixture reacts only once you are under it. The aisle ahead stays dark.
ALP networked lighting
P2 · Drive aisle BThe detecting fixture signals ahead. Drivers and pedestrians see each other early.
ALP with a pedestrian
P2 · WalkwayA person on foot triggers the same signal. The path ahead lights as they walk to their car, including around each turn.
Signal path
Why it is safer
Conventional
Light follows the occupant. A driver rounding a column sees a pedestrian only when both are already in the lit zone.
ALP
Light leads the occupant. Approach paths are lit in advance, so sightlines open before people meet.
Why it costs less
No sensors to install
Detection is built into every fixture. There are no separate sensors to mount, wire to run, or node to commission.
Service is a bulb swap
Sensing, control and light are one unit. If a fixture goes bad, replace it.
Priced like a sensor
Priced comparably to current occupancy sensors.
