If you have NRG fixtures in your building and one of them fails, there is still somewhere to go.
NRG has concluded its operations. For the commercial building owners, facility managers, schools, and property managers who specified NRG products over the years, that raises an immediate and practical question: what happens to the fixtures already installed in the ceiling?
LIBULBS has agreed to administer the remaining NRG Product Support Program. Eligible end-user customers with valid manufacturing warranty claims can now submit them directly to our Product Support team, and approved claims will be fulfilled with replacement product while inventory remains available.
Why this program exists
When a manufacturer winds down, the fixtures do not wind down with it. They stay in service in warehouses, classrooms, parking garages, and offices — and occasionally one of them fails in a way that has nothing to do with the installation or the environment.
NRG was a significant supplier of commercial lighting for many years. Rather than leave those end users without a path forward, LIBULBS stepped in to run out the remaining support program in an orderly way. This is a defined, finite program: it does not extend the original warranty, create a new one, or change its terms. It gives eligible claims a place to be reviewed and, where approved, resolved with product.
Who can file
The program is for original end users — the people and organizations who bought the product to install and operate it:
- Commercial building owners
- Facility managers and property management companies
- Schools and government agencies
- Commercial businesses
- Original end-user purchasers
Distributors, resellers, and wholesalers are not eligible, and claims against unsold inventory are outside the program’s scope. If you are a distributor helping a customer through a failure, the fastest route is to have the end user file the claim directly — we will work with them from there.
What’s covered
Covered claims are manufacturing defects on eligible NRG products still inside their original warranty period. Approved claims are resolved with a replacement fixture, or an equivalent product where the original model is no longer in stock.
Not covered: installation or removal labor, freight, improper installation, accidental damage, normal wear, product past its warranty period, and distributor-held inventory.
What to have ready
Claims move fastest when the documentation arrives with the first submission. Before you start the form, gather:
- Proof of purchase (invoice)
- Photos of the product and its label
- Photos showing the issue in place
- The quantity affected
- Installation location and contact information
The product label matters more than people expect — it carries the model information that determines eligibility and identifies the correct replacement.
How it works
- Submit the claim through the online form.
- We review the information provided.
- We follow up if anything additional is needed.
- Replacement is arranged if the claim is approved, subject to inventory availability.
We typically respond within one to two business days.
One thing worth noting on timing
This program runs while replacement inventory remains available. That is not a marketing deadline — it is simply the nature of supporting a discontinued line. If you have a known failure sitting on a shelf or a fixture you have been meaning to deal with, filing sooner gives the claim the best chance of being matched with the original model rather than an equivalent.
